Northampton BBOB RFC 1st XV 0Pts vs Towcestrians RFC 1st XV 43Pts

A depleted BBOB rallied themselves for the arrival of Towcestrians, only to find the up-front power of the Tows pack just too much to contain as the visitors cruised to an easy win.

From the start the Tows pack were soon well on top, as demonstrated by driving veteran prop Osbourne-Wright over for the games first score.  Marc Yeates converted and as Tows continued to look comfortable with ball in hand, a good move involving the Tows backs saw Jamie King zip in for a try in the corner.  Marc Yeates converted from near the touch line and soon after he slotted a penalty to ease Tows further ahead. The Tows scrummaging power was again evident as it put BBOB under extreme defensive pressure to eventually produce a penalty try converted by Matt Yuill and give Tows a half time lead of 24Pts.

From the start of the second half, the Tows pack became completely dominant with the BBOB pack being driven back for Darren Snook to drop over for a pushover try.  BBOB began to struggle with front row replacements and the referee had to direct the game to move to uncontested scrums.  This had an immediate effect on the pace and rhythm of the game and although the whole game seemed to lose its momentum, Tows finished the game with tries from Colts players Millican and Yuill.

Next week Tows are at HOME to host Lutterworth RFC 1st XV.  Kick Off: 3.00pm
